I hate it so much; I heard from somebody that running helps release your stress, so I run.
I run all around the town, into the green clad forest, out to the out skirts, one round through the neighborhood, and to the clearing by the lake. There I rest on the grass covered in dew; hearing the cicadas chirping through the weeds, it was too peaceful.
I lay there on my back for what seemed like hours just staring at the midnight black sky dotted with dazzling stars. I flipped over and I puked, still panting from the two hour run, feeling eyes staring at me from somewhere. Like always when I look up no one’s there. “ Don’t look” I plead, and feel my eyes burn, I’m going to cry , but I can’t cry now, be strong I hear her voice in my head. I lift my head up feeling courage and adrenaline flow through my veins. My legs hurt, but I still manage to get up, swaying I walk the two miles to the house. Its 3 am, but I’m not worried about waking my parents up. By now they were probably deep in their sweet drunken dreams. They probably didn’t notice I was gone.
I shuffle in to the hideously colored living room, with my head down watching my feet make patterns on the wall to wall carpet. When I got to the stairs I looked up, there she was smiling at me like she always does, her angel of a smile. I reach out to her, she’s gone. I felt the despair, running up the stairs. I shut myself in my room. Put the earphones on, hearing ‘My chemical romance’ in full volume. It makes my ears ring, but I don’t care, so long as it drowns out the laughter.
